FAQs

What is the JointPoint® paneling system by Ezarri and how does it work in their glass mosaics?

JointPoint® is a pioneering point bonding system developed by Ezarri that guarantees a perfect installation. Unlike paper or mesh, JointPoint exclusively bonds the tiles from the back using flexible points, leaving 92% of the surface free for direct contact with the adhesive. This ensures maximum durability and prevents the tiles from detaching over time.

Why is Ezarri´s JointPoint® system better than other mosaic fixing systems for pools and spas?

The JointPoint® system outperforms glued paper and fiber mesh for three technical reasons:

  • Maximum grip: By leaving 92% of the mosaic free, the adhesive embraces almost the entire piece, guaranteeing a superior fixation compared to the mesh.
  • Quick installation (Time-saving): Saves up to 25% of the placement time compared to paper, as it is not necessary to wet or remove the front paper.
  • Resistance: It is insensitive to humidity and chemicals, avoiding the typical expansions or contractions of other supports.
Why is the Ezarri glass mosaic considered an eco-friendly product and made with recycled glass?

Because Ezarri uses 100% recycled glass as raw material in its manufacturing process. Our commitment to sustainability is endorsed by the ISO 14021 Environmental Certification, which audits and guarantees that at least 96% of the final product is post-consumer recycled glass, with the remaining 4% being natural dyes and the JointPoint system.

What is the Ezarri glass mosaic made of and what percentage comes from recycled glass?

The Ezarri mosaic is manufactured using 100% recycled glass as the base raw material. This sustainable composition, endorsed by the ISO 14021 certification, guarantees that at least 96% of the final product is recycled glass, with the remaining 4% consisting exclusively of colorants and the JointPoint® system.

Where is the Ezarri factory located and from which location do they distribute their glass mosaics?

The entire production of Ezarri is carried out at our factory in Lazkao (Gipuzkoa, Spain). From our central warehouse at the same location, we manage global logistics with the support of strategic centers located in Castellón (Spain), Sassuolo (Italy), and Miami (USA), allowing us agility in international distribution.

Are all Ezarri mosaics manufactured in Spain and to which countries are they currently exported?

Yes, Ezarri manufactures all its gresite exclusively at its Lazkao plant, guaranteeing the European quality seal. Currently, we export 70% of our production to more than 100 countries on the 5 continents, establishing ourselves as international benchmarks in glass mosaic.

How long can a correctly installed Ezarri glass mosaic last in a residential or community pool?

A Ezarri mosaic offers unlimited durability (lifetime) due to the technical properties of glass: zero water absorption (0%), chemical stability, and resistance to thermal shock. Being an inert material, it does not wear out or lose color with the sun or pool chemicals if the installation is correct.

How does the color and appearance of the water in my pool change according to the Ezarri glass mosaic I choose?

The color of the water varies according to the tone of the mosaic, the volume of water, and the incidence of sunlight. Depending on the chosen Ezarri tile tone, the visual effects are classified as:

  • White mosaics: Produce a light sky blue or turquoise colored water, creating a luminous and crystalline "Caribbean" style effect.
  • Beige and pink mosaics: Generate a transparent green-toned water, similar to the paradisiacal beaches with light sand.
  • Gray mosaics (Inox, Stone collections...): Provide the water with grayish tones with very elegant blue or green shades, ideal for a modern and urban aesthetic.
  • Black or dark green mosaics: Recreate the natural style of a high mountain river or lake, providing depth and a sophisticated mirror effect.
  • Blue mosaics: Reinforce the traditional blue color; the darker the mosaic, the more intense and deep the blue of the water will be.

For greater precision, we recommend using the Water Color Simulator available on our website, which allows you to visualize the approximate result according to these variables.

How to install the Ezarri glass mosaic step by step in a pool, spa, or wellness area?

Although we recommend consulting our complete technical manual, the essential steps for a correct installation are:

  1. Surface preparation: The surface must be smooth, clean, and dry.
  2. Adhesive selection: Always use C2TE or higher adhesive cement.
  3. Troweling: Apply the adhesive with a 3mm notched trowel.
  4. Placement: Install the JointPoint sheets by pressing with a rubber trowel.
  5. Grouting: Apply epoxy (recommended) or cementitious grout and clean the excess.

What adhesives and grouts does Ezarri recommend for the proper installation of their glass mosaics?

Given the zero porosity of glass, it is essential to use adhesives with chemical adhesion. We recommend:

  • Adhesive: Minimum classification C2TE (UNE EN 12004 Standard) to ensure grip.
  • Joints: Preferably epoxy joint (RG) for its tightness and zero maintenance, or high-quality cementitious joints (CG2).

Consult the compatibility table in our installation manual for specific brands.

Can Ezarri glass mosaic be installed in a polyester or prefabricated pool?

Yes, it is completely feasible if a specific elastic adhesive is used. Since polyester is a flexible material, it requires a reactive adhesive (generally epoxy or polyurethane) that absorbs vibrations without detaching the mosaic. Refer to our "Polyester Manual" to see the necessary previous sanding and preparation steps.

How long can a cement joint in a pool lined with Ezarri mosaic last with proper maintenance?

A standard cement joint has a lifespan of 5 to 6 years before it needs to be emptied and regrouted, as water chemicals progressively erode it. Therefore, at Ezarri we recommend investing in epoxy grout (RG), a definitive, antibacterial, and stain-resistant solution that accompanies the unlimited durability of our glass.

Why can pool tiles come off and how does the JointPoint® system from Ezarri help prevent it?

The takeoff usually occurs due to three reasons: poor support preparation, incorrect adhesive, or netting systems that create a barrier between the glass and the glue. JointPoint® radically solves this by eliminating nets and papers, allowing 92% of the chip to directly touch the adhesive, creating a solid and inseparable bond.

What is the availability and delivery times of Ezarri mosaics in Spain and in other countries?
